23. New York Jets (31)

Was Week 6 the start of something amazing for the New York Jets when it comes to being a top contender in the AFC?

For a team that was still in search of their first win along with the factor of Sam Darnold possibly looking rusty after returning from a spleen injury, the Jets pulled off one of the biggest surprises from Week 6 by handing the Dallas Cowboys a 24-22 loss.

Clearly, the presence of Darnold on offense makes a huge difference for this New York squad, and even though this was only one game, it will be interesting to see if the Jets can carry this momentum over to next weekend when taking on the New England Patriots.

Also, the defense of the Jets deserves a ton of credit as well since it’s never easy to prevent Dak Prescott from throwing a single touchdown pass or keeping someone like Ezekiel Elliott in check for the most part, even if he rushed for 105 yards and a score on 28 carries.

Rightfully so, the Patriots will enter Week 7 as the early favorites to take down the Jets, but if Darnold and company find a way to look like they did against the Cowboys, New York could very well pull off an upset.
