Following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ rough 37-26 loss in London to division rival Carolina, here are a few studs and duds from the contest.

Seven turnovers. That’s how many the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had during their loss to the Panthers, a division rival, in London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fact that they only lost by 11 points is nothing short of astounding.

Nevertheless, there were still some bright spots in the loss that will send the Bucs into their bye week at 2-4. Let’s breakdown who the Buccaneers’ studs and duds were for the international contest.

Stud: Chris Godwin (10 catches for 151 yards)

Although he got off to a slow start, Godwin had another outstanding game on Sunday morning, notching his third straight performance over 125 yards. He’s officially become receiver 1B in the Buccaneer offense to Mike Evans‘ 1A (more on him in a bit).

Currently, Godwin has 43 receptions for 662 yards and six touchdowns, ranking in the top 10 of the NFL in each of those statistical categories. It’s time to stop talking about him as a potential breakout guy and realize that he has already broken out. Furthermore, he seems to be getting better as each week passes. His tandem with Evans has become one of, if not the best receiving duo in the league. The future is bright for No.12.

Dud: Jameis Winston (30-of-54, 400 yards, 1 touchdown, 5 interceptions, 1 fumble)

Just when we thought Winston was finally turning a corner and becoming the franchise quarterback we had all hoped he could be, this happens. It seemed like his day was doomed from the start when he threw an interception to Carolina cornerback James Bradberry on the first play from scrimmage. From there on, it was a rough afternoon from Winston.

Ignore the 400 passing yards and the touchdown pass. This might have been Winston’s worst performance as a professional — and we are in the middle of his fifth season. He threw five interceptions, had two fumbles (one was recovered) and was sacked seven times.

Could you put some blame on the offensive line? Of course you can. However, at the end of the day, this loss lies largely at the feet of Winston. There can be no more excuses for him. Either he performs or he’s gone after this season. End of story.
