Stud: Carl Nassib (6 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2 QB hits, 1 sack)

When you watch Carl Nassib work, you wonder why the Browns released him heading into last season. Ever since he’s donned the red and pewter, he’s consistently made plays for a Buccaneers defense that’s desperately needed it. Coming into a game where the Bucs needed a strong defensive effort, Nassib once again brought it.

It seemed like he was around Allen and the Panthers’ backfield all game long and he turned in yet another outstanding performance. For most of the day, the defense was put in an unfavorable position due to the seven turnovers committed by Winston and the special teams unit. However, it didn’t stop Nassib from once again playing well.

Dud: Shaquil Barrett (1 tackle)

For as much noise as Shaq Barrett has made this season, he didn’t make a sound in London. Now, I’m not saying that he needed to have four sacks like he did the last time the Bucs played the Panthers. Heck, he didn’t even need to have one sack.

However, he didn’t even get close to Allen all game long. He also had a face mask call against him that gave the Panthers a fresh set of downs at one point. Defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and his unit need Barrett back on track sooner rather than later. When he plays well, the rest of the defense does in turn.
