Even at 5-1, the Seattle Seahawks are only in second in the NFC West. The team needs to continue winning to keep pace with the San Francisco 49ers.

In Week 7, the Seattle Seahawks will welcome the Baltimore Ravens to CenturyLink Field for a matchup between 2018 playoff teams. The 4-2 Ravens have been on a rollercoaster ride along with the rest of the AFC North. It’s hard to predict what version of Baltimore’s team will take the field on Sunday. The outcome of the game will have ramifications for both the AFC North and NFC West divisional races.

The NFC West crown might come down to who loses first. The 5-1 Seahawks and 5-0 San Francisco 49ers are both hot right now, but losing that fire could be the equivalent of conceding the division to the other superpower. With the overarching theme of the division race in mind, every game carries an added emphasis.

After facing the Ravens, Seattle’s schedule lightens up for two weeks. In Week 8, the Seahawks will travel to Atlanta and take on the reeling 1-5 Falcons. The Falcons have given up 87 points to their opponents in the last two weeks. Then, the 2-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will come to town in Week 9. Quarterback, Jameis Winston threw five interceptions and fumbled twice in Week 6. Things get serious again in Week 10 when Seattle will travel to San Francisco and finally clash with the 49ers.

With the 49ers playing the atrocious Washington Redskins this week, the Seahawks are under a lot of pressure to keep pace. However, the Ravens can be a tough team when Lamar Jackson is firing on all cylinders.

Sunday’s matchup will be one of the best games this week. Here are some things to watch out for during the action.
