2. Chris Carson held to under 50 yards

After starting the season with three mediocre performances, Carson has caught fire and posted three straight 100-yard rushing games. Along with an extra influx in carries, Carson’s yards per attempt average has also spiked. He’s gone from averaging 3.51 yards per carry during the first three games to posting 4.74 yards per carry during the last three weeks. However, Carson will be facing a challenge against the Baltimore defense.

Baltimore’s defense currently ranks 13th in the NFL, allowing 350.2 yards per game. However, the unit is also allowing 6.3 yards per play, which, along with the New York Giants, is tied for third-most in the league.

At first, that might not seem too intimidating. Unfortunately for Carson and Seattle’s run-heavy offense, Baltimore is only allowing 80.7 rushing yards per game. That means they have the fourth-best run defense in the league. Entering Week 7, the Seahawks are rushing for 130.5 yards per game and attempting 32.0 run plays per game, the third-most runs by any offense this season.

Luckily for the Seahawks, Wilson is passing for 68.5 more yards per game this season than he did last year. Considering how good Baltimore has been against the run this year, Carson will have a hard day breaking loose. Seattle may have to rely more on the passing game as a result.
