Draft Spotlight

Every week, I’ll dissect a college football player who recently grabbed the spotlight and what his future holds in the NFL. This week, I’ll be looking at the next game-changing receiver.

Who: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

What Works

  • Balance
  • Ball-tracking skills
  • Big-play ability
  • Hands
  • Physicality
  • Quickness
  • Separation
  • Size (6-2, 191 pounds)
  • Speed
  • Strength
  • Vision

What Needs Work

  • Could build body little more
  • Downfield speed isn’t great
  • Route running needs tweaking

The Scout’s Opinion

"It may take an entire defense to tackle Lamb this season as the Oklahoma speedster has taken his game to a new level in 2019. He broke seven tackles against the Longhorns and tallied 171 yards on 10 catches with three scores. Including first downs, Lamb finished with six receiving conversions and obviously saw a perfect passer rating of 158.3 when targeted. – Cam Mellor, Pro Football Focus"

Outlook: Lamb is a human highlight reel with potential to be the next great NFL wide receiver. He’s a freak of nature with little that he does poorly or even averagely.
