5. Texans knock off Colts to increase division lead

After a 2-2 start, there were some questions surrounding the Houston Texans over whether this team was in fact a serious contender in the AFC since they didn’t seem to be living up to the high expectations.

But since coming up short against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4, the Texans have been on an absolute tear with back-to-back wins over the Atlanta Falcons and Kansas City Chiefs.

While the Falcons game may not be the most exciting victory to brag about since Dan Quinn’s team has one win to their name, the win over the Chiefs is what helped the Texans earn even more respect as a contender.

Most importantly, Week 6 was a game in which Deshaun Watson officially entered the MVP conversation for the first time, and even though the Texans star has plenty of competition, all Houston really cares about is if the wins continue to pile up.

As for Houston’s next battle, the Indianapolis Colts realize what’s at stake on Sunday since a win over their rivals could officially move them into first place in the division.

But knowing Watson and the Texans with their impressive play from the previous two weeks, the team will do everything in their power to prevent this from happening for the Colts.
