17. Murray tops 400+ passing yards for first time

When it comes to some of the biggest surprises from the last couple of weeks, the Arizona Cardinals winning two games in a row deserves to be near the top of the list.

All due respect to the Cardinals, but this seemed like a team heading towards a year of rebuilding after taking Kyler Murray with the top overall pick in April’s draft since the rookie quarterback seemed like he would be a work in progress.

While Murray clearly still has plenty of learning to do, it has been amazing to watch the former Oklahoma star lead Arizona to two impressive wins in a row, especially this past weekend against the Atlanta Falcons.

By completing 27 of 37 yards for 340 yards to go along with three touchdown passes to help defeat the Falcons, Murray continues to make a strong case for himself to eventually earn Offensive Rookie of the Year honors down the road.

Most importantly, the risky gamble by Arizona to move on from Josh Rosen after just one season seems to be paying off in a big way for the Cardinals since Murray is clearly the much better option.

Up next, the Cardinals will hit the road to take on another team with a rookie quarterback in Daniel Jones, and if all goes well for Murray, topping the 400+ passing yards for the first time against the New York Giants could be in the works.
