13. Bridgewater suffers first loss of 2019 as starter

Hope seemed to be lost for the New Orleans Saints back in Week 2 when Drew Brees went down with a thumb injury, but Teddy Bridgewater deserves all of the credit in the world for the work put in on offense.

Keep in mind there’s a reason why the Saints felt confident in keeping Bridgewater around just in case anything were to happen to Brees, and watching New Orleans win four games in a row shows how clutch he’s been for the team.

With the Saints sitting at 5-1, and making a strong case to be one of the top teams to beat in the NFC, Sean Payton‘s squad will face another difficult challenge in Week 7 by taking on the Chicago Bears away from home.

Despite the Bears coming off a rough loss in London that resulted in plenty of questions surrounding whether Chase Daniel has what it takes to run the offense, the Saints are smart enough to know Chicago’s defense alone is always reason to be cautious.

Not to mention, Soldier Field in general tends to be tough for most opponents, meaning the Saints could be in for a rough outing in this one.

Unfortunately for New Orleans, if Chicago’s defense benefits from the extra rest following a bye week, Bridgewater could see that first loss as a starter in 2019.
