Before the Atlanta Falcons take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7 in Atlanta, here are three bold predictions that will take place in the contest on Sunday.

The start to the 2019 season hasn’t gone as planned so far for the Atlanta Falcons. With high hopes coming into the new season schedule this fall, Atlanta had hopes of trying to return to the postseason while once again emerging as one of the top teams in the NFC this year.

But following a rough start to the regular season through six weeks, the Falcons are faced with already dropping out of the playoff picture nearing the midway point in the 2019 campaign. And in the next few weeks, Atlanta will be faced with two more tough tests with a pair of talented opponents coming into Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta prior to the Falcons’ bye in Week 9.

Atlanta comes into a new week in Week 7 by welcoming in the Los Angeles Rams into downtown Atlanta, the first game of two tough matchups over the next few contests that will round out with a showdown with the Seattle Seahawks a week from now in Week 8.

The Falcons are coming off of a disappointing loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6 of the season last Sunday, a high-scoring loss that ended with Atlanta missing a game-tying extra point resulting in it extending its losing streak even more.

The Falcons enter the new slate of games this weekend against the Rams while riding a four-game losing streak to bring them to a record of 1-5 on the season. Atlanta sits in last place in the NFC South, trailing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4 overall), Carolina Panthers (4-2) and New Orleans Saints (5-1) in the division standings.

Los Angeles comes into the contest in Atlanta with a record of 3-3 overall, having lost three straight games while most recently falling to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday in Los Angeles.

The Rams are currently in third place in the NFC West, trailing Seattle (5-1) and San Francisco (5-0) atop the division while sitting in front of Arizona (2-3-1) in the standings.

Both Atlanta and Los Angeles will attempt to come into Sunday’s game looking to end their losing streaks, which will make for a game filled with large implications both in their division and conference positions.

Before the Falcons host the Rams in an NFC showdown at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta in Week 7, let’s dive into three bold predictions in the game for Atlanta in the contest.
