Tight Ends

Start: Darren Fells, HOU (vs. IND)

With all of the tight end mishaps this year it’s come to the point where if any tight end shows any remote chance of breaking out in fantasy football, you have to jump on it. Fells has nine targets for 89 yards and two scores in the last two weeks combined. Fells also had a season-high in targets (7) and yards (69) last week and has shown to be a great threat deep in the red zone.

Deshaun Watson seemed to favor him over Jordan Akins as Fells had four more targets and 30 more yards than Akins last week. With a projected 3.5 points, one big play could get him to eclipse that mark, so it’s a true low-risk, high-reward scenario. I expect him to exceed his projected points.

Sit: Delanie Walker, TEN (vs. LAC)

It’s hard to tell anyone to sit a tight end this year. But after the past few weeks, there’s no reason why Walker should be in anyone’s starting lineup. Walker has no more than three catches in any of the past three weeks. And with the murky quarterback situation down in Nashville, I’d steer clear of Walker if at all possible.

The Chargers are also coming off a week in which they held Vance McDonald to one catch for five yards. Walker has only gotten above 6.5 points once all year and that was solely because he had two touchdowns in that game. He is too touchdown-dependent. With Ryan Tannehill making his first start this week and since his usage hasn’t changed since Week 1, leave Walker on your bench.

Some week 7 streaming options: Gerald Everett, LAR (vs. ATL); Dallas Goedert, PHI (vs. DAL); Dawson Knox, BUF (vs. MIA).
