3. Yannick Ngakoue

Yannick Ngakoue must pressure the Bengals quarterback on Sunday. The Jaguars have to pressure Andy Dalton all game long. They can not afford to let him get any rhythm going on offense.

Through six games, Ngakoue has two sacks. He got both of them in Carolina. Most of all, he has hit the opposing quarterback three times. Ngakoue has to tee off on Dalton.

Dalton has been sacked 22 times in 2019. Ngakoue has to disrupt his timing. Dalton has thrown five interceptions. The Jaguars can force turnovers if they play disciplined defensive football.

Cincinnati has an average to below-average offensive line, according to footballoutsiders.com. The football analytic website lists them as the 31st ranked line. They rank 27th in pass protection and 15th in power rushing attack. Jacksonville has to exploit the weak line.

Josh Allen is having a good rookie season in Jacksonville but Ngakoue needs to feed off the rookie’s energy. This game has the potential for big plays on defense. It’s been a while since the Jaguars defense has scored a touchdown.

Remember how common a strip and score occurred in 2017. Most of those were caused by Ngakoue. He must show up big and shine in Cincinnati.
