2. Flacco fails to take advantage of Kansas City defense

The worst-kept secret in the NFL is that the Chiefs defense is the weakest point of their team. They’re giving up 24.0 points per game on the season and have been getting gashed in whatever way their opponents see fit, conceding 256.2 yards per game through the air and 161.8 yards per game.

As mentioned, Phillip Linsday is going to be able to take advantage of that with what will amount to his best game of the 2019 season. Denver Broncos quarterback Joe Flacco, however, will not be able to hold up his end of the bargain.

Through the first six games of the Broncos’ 2019 campaign, Flacco has been unspectacular and short of good. He has thrown for 1,435 yards, just six touchdowns and five interceptions on the year. While he’s not been a dumpster fire, he’s certainly not been a quarterback that is elevating the offense and he has maintained his penchant for turning the ball over.

While the Chiefs secondary has been toasted this season and will be without Kendall Fuller and maybe Bashaud Breeland on Thursday Night Football, it won’t matter. Tyrann Mathieu and the remainder of the secondary will step up and do their part against the Broncos, picking off Flacco multiple times and giving Kansas City’s offense a prime opportunity to take control of the game and run away with it.
