The Bengals have denied having any interest in trading away star wide receiver A.J. Green, but for the right price, anything is possible. Green has yet to make his season-debut in 2019, as he’s been nursing an ankle injury he suffered before training camp. Green has since returned to practice, though, and looks poised to play in the coming weeks.

Green is one of the premier receivers in the NFL and would add a dynamic threat on the outside for the Packers offense. Even at 31 years old, Green is easily a top-15 receiver in the league when healthy. With the current state of the Bengals franchise (0-6), they may want to trade away Green before his contract expires this coming offseason.

The Packers have a clear need at wide receiver with Davante Adams (turf toe) already ruled out for Week 7, and Geronimo Allison (chest/concussion) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (ankle/knee) questionable for Sunday’s game against the Raiders.

With the trade deadline approaching fast, it wouldn’t be shocking to see Green Bay make a move for a bonafide No. 1 receiver. Adams has already stated he doesn’t know when he might return, so the Packers could be without their star wideout for the foreseeable future. Trading for Green makes a lot of sense, especially for a third-round pick.
