Quarterbacks take over the top-10 and the Dallas Cowboys finally add a playmaking safety in this first-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

The quarterback class in 2020 looks to be much better than the one we saw in 2019. There were three signal-callers taken in the opening round as the Arizona Cardinals took Kyler Murray at No. 1, the New York Giants grabbed Daniel Jones sixth overall, and Dwayne Haskins went to the Washington Redskins at 15.

After that, no other quarterback was taken until pick No. 42nd when the Denver Broncos took Drew Lock. Out of all those picks, only Kyler Murray was a day one starter. Daniel Jones has since taken over but the jury is still out on him as he’s had some great moments as well as some that were head-scratching.

Looking ahead to the 2020 NFL Draft, there looks to be many more quarterbacks who can make an early impact. One of those is Justin Herbert, who could have been a top-5 pick had he elected to enter the 2019 draft. This season, he again looks to be high on many draft boards but it’s Tua Tagovailoa out of Alabama that looks to be the top passer.

They won’t be the only signal-callers taken in the first round and there could be some sliding into the second day that easily could have been taken on Thursday night a year ago.

On top of the great passers, there are some other stars who will make it big in the NFL including pass rushers Chase Young and A.J. Epenesa. Wide receiver also looks strong, with Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy headlining an impressive group.

With all that being laid out, let’s dive into a new 2020 NFL Mock Draft as we enter Week 7 and see where these young stars might begin their pro football careers. As always, the order for this mock draft is determined by our latest NFL power rankings.
