2020 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys score Grant Delpit, Burrow and Hurts hit top 10

Pick via Rams
The Jacksonville Jaguars are back on the clock with the 15th pick, courtesy of the Los Angeles Rams. They landed two first-round draft picks in the Jalen Ramsey deal and after drafting his replacement earlier, they now address a major need on the offensive side of the ball by picking Tristan Wirds out of Iowa.
Jacksonville might have lucked into their future quarterback as Gardner Minshew stepped in for an injured Nick Foles and has won fans over. In order for him to continue to grow as a player, the Jaguars need to improve their O-line to give him time to make his reads. Wirfs is one of the better tackles in this class and will be a day one starter.
For some reason, the Dallas Cowboys front office continues to devalue the nose tackle and safety positions. They’re both vital to the success of a defense but head coach Jason Garrett and defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli think they can plug anyone in there and succeed.
That theory has been tested this season and the team looks foolish for taking a three-technique tackle in Trysten Hill despite there being some big-name safeties such as Juan Thornhill and Taylor Rapp on the board. If they’re not regretting that decision, they should be.
Dallas finally makes up for that mistake here as the best safety in this class conveniently falls to them in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. Should things fall this way, the Cowboys need to sprint to the podium to turn in Delpit’s name. He checks off all the boxes and can help them finally stop the band-aid fixes at the spot.
