Tight Ends

Evan Engram (NYG vs. ARI, $6,500): There is no better lock in fantasy football than starting a top-tier talent against the Arizona Cardinals, who are historically horrendous against the tight end. Pencil in Engram for at least 100 yards and a touchdown.

Austin Hooper (ATL vs. LAR, $5,300): The Rams rank 21st in the league at defending the tight end position, so another smash spot exists for the top tight end in fantasy football this year. Amazingly, Hooper is available for $1,400 less than the highest-priced option at the position this week.

Mark Andrews (BAL at SEA, $4,900): Andrews played through injuries after a fast start, but seems to have returned to full health. Expect a big day against a Seattle Seahawks defense ranked 29th in the league against the tight end position.

Hunter Henry (LAC at TEN, $4,000): Henry immediately made his presence felt last week, and he should continue to be a major factor in the offense for as long as he stays healthy. DFS players will have a hard time finding a better value for the price at the tight end position.

Honorable mentions at lower prices include Gerald Everett (LAR at ATL, $3,700), a boom-or-bust option with a favorable matchup, and Dawson Knox (BUF vs. MIA, $3,300), a low-key sleeper who likewise gets a great draw this week. Somehow, Darren Fells (HOU at IND, $3,100) is priced extremely low, despite being a top-12 tight end to date in PPR formats.

Don’t sleep on Dallas Goedert (PHI at DAL, $2,900), who had his name famously called by David Akers in a world-class troll job on Draft Day in Dallas in the wake of Eagles’ Super Bowl Championship. He might have a place in a “studs and scrubs” lineup if the Eagles run as many two tight ends sets as some think they will, especially in the red zone.
