The Green Bay Packers are short-handed at wide receiver as they welcome the Raiders to Lambeau. Bold predictions for the Pack in Week 7.

At 5-1, the Green Bay Packers have emerged as a contender in the NFC early on in the 2019 NFL season. Having said that, it hasn’t come easy as this team has been banged up. That is especially true for their pass-catchers as they head into a Week 7 matchup against the Oakland Raiders as Aaron Rodgers and company welcome Jon Gruden’s club to Lambeau Field.

Despite preseason expectations, the Raiders are not a pushover this season, coming into this matchup in Green Bay with a 3-2 record. Their record isn’t a fluke either as they’ve found a strong identity on offense and have played well enough on defense, most recently knocking off the Bears in a trip to London.

The Packers, however, are a different bear to tame. Green Bay, though injured, is strong on both sides of the ball and has balance on both sides as well. But will they be able to put that effort forth on Sunday? Let’s make some bold predictions for the Packers against the Raiders in Week 7.

5. Lazard shines with 100 yards, 2 touchdowns

With the injuries starting to pile up in the Green Bay Packers receiving corps at the end of their win against the Lions last week, it was Allen Lazard that stepped up. Not only did Aaron Rodgers want him on the field in the fourth quarter but the wide receiver rewarded that faith by making big plays down the stretch.

All of his production coming in the final frame, Lazard finished the game with four receptions for 65 yards and a touchdown, a score that ultimately put the Packers in position where they could end up kicking the game-winning field goal. Now, Lazard will be in a more prominent role and will continue to break out.

With Davante Adams out and Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison either joining Adams or being limited, Lazard will have his opportunities. He’ll capitalize with a career day that includes at least 100 yards and two trips to the end zone against a lacking Raiders secondary.
