Stud: Olabisi Johnson

Olabisi Johnson stepped up throughout the game when his team needed him to the most, especially after Adam Thielen was forced to exit the game in the opening quarter with an injury. The rookie seventh-round draft pick finished the contest on Sunday against the Lions with four catches for 40 yards on eight targets, showing up big at key moments throughout the NFC North contest.

Johnson has been a nice addition already this season for Minnesota and, depending on how long Thielen is sidelined with his injury, Johnson could continue to gain a larger role within the passing game for the Vikings.

Dud: Adam Thielen

Adam Thielen isn’t a dud because of his performance or what he was able to do in his brief time on the field on Sunday afternoon, but rather the fact that the dominant wide receiver had to leave the game early on while dealing with a hamstring injury. Thielen suffered the injury in the first quarter of Sunday’s contest after he hauled in a nice touchdown grab out of the hands of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins.

The wide receiver finished the game with 25 yards and one touchdown on one catch in the contest, but all eyes will be on Thielen moving into Week 8 as he plays a crucial part in the success of the Vikings offense.
