2. Tank terrorizes Wentz for three sacks

The Philadelphia Eagles are a bit under-manned in Sunday’s Week 7 matchup as it pertains to the offensive line. Stalwart offensive tackle Jason Peters has been ruled out for the NFC East showdown and, while the Eagles drafted Andre Dillard in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the rookie out of Washington State isn’t ready to handle what DeMarcus Lawrence is about to bring.

By his standards, Lawrence has been off to a quiet start in the 2019 season. While newcomer Robert Quinn has been fierce, having already notched five sacks despite being suspended for the first two games of the year, Tank has just 2.5 sacks to his credit through Dallas’ first six games of the season. He’ll better that total on Sunday Night Football alone.

Not only is Lawrence the better player in a matchup with a rookie offensive tackle but he’s motivated for Sunday’s matchup. Yes, it’s a rivalry game so emotions will already be high. But Lawrence seemingly had a fire lit under him when Eagles head coach Doug Pederson seemingly guaranteed a victory over Dallas in Week 7.

Lawrence will try to make the opposing head coach eat his words and, up against DIllard, he’ll do just that. The veteran defensive end will get after Carson Wentz all night long, eventually bringing the Philadelphia quarterback to the ground at least three times at AT&T Stadium.
