After garnering a lot of praise over the past few weeks, the Seattle Seahawks were upset 30-16 by the Baltimore Ravens.

After going on a three-game winning streak, the Seattle Seahawks were viewed as serious playoff contenders and Russell Wilson was held up as an MVP candidate. None of that mattered on Sunday when Wilson threw his first interception of the season and the Baltimore Ravens manhandled the Seahawks.

With the San Francisco 49ers shutting out the Washington Redskins during the early window of games, the pressure was on Seattle to keep up the pace. However, the Seahawks dropped to 5-2. That still puts the Seahawks in playoff positioning, but the team’s prestige has been damaged. The race for a Wild Card spot is also tight at this point in the season. At least Seattle will get a chance to steamroll the 1-6 Atlanta Falcons next week.

It was hard to find studs for Seattle this week, considering it was an overall poor effort. However, duds and mediocre performances abounded. Here are your studs and duds for Week 7.

Stud: K.J. Wright, LB

Re-signing the outside linebacker to a two-year deal was one of the best moves Seattle made this past offseason. Against the Ravens, Wright made eight combined tackles and knocked down two passes.

Wright is averaging eight combined tackles per game this season. He already has five passes defensed this year. His season-single personal best is six. If he keeps this pace up, Wright will finish the year with a career-high 132 combined tackles and 11 passes defensed. That’s what you call money well spent.

Dud: D.K. Metcalf, WR

With less than four minutes left in the game, D.K. Metcalf caught a short pass, dropped the football while he was trying to switch hands, Marlon Humphrey recovered the fumble, and he returned the ball for a short score. With the extra point, the Ravens asserted a 30-13 lead over the Seahawks.

While Metcalf made four receptions for 53 yards, he was also targeted nine times. That low efficiency plus the fumble make him an easy dud for Week 7. That being said, Metcalf has flashed a lot of potential this season. Hopefully, he’s able to take some lessons from Week 7.
