6. Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, Missouri

The Missouri Tigers were upset by the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 8. Part of the reason that happened was Mizzou’s inability to get tight end Albert Okwuegbunam involved. Coming into the game, Okwuegbunam had six touchdowns and 18 receptions on the year. This past Saturday, their offense struggled and, consequently, so did he, finishing the game with just five targets and two catches.

Okwuegbunam is better than his numbers from Week 8. The 6-5, 255-pound tight end is a mismatch problem thanks to his big body and catch radius. Moreover, he’s plenty athletic and it shows in his ability to threaten the seam. He has enough speed to separate on underneath routes and on pop routes.

Thanks to his wide body and long arms, he dominates when battling for contested passes. When the all is in the air, he does a great job boxing out defenders, which is why Okwuegbunam will likely finish the season with double-digit touchdowns

Tight ends were surprisingly picked early in the 2019 NFL Draft, which helps Okwuegbunam in regards to his draft stock. If he can dominate the draft and workout process, he’ll see his stock rise. Okwuegbunam will likely come off the board on Day 3 but he’s an immediate red zone target wherever he gets drafted.
