2. Jacob Eason, QB, Washington

Washington Huskies quarterback Jacob Eason came into Saturday looking to improve his draft stock. After his performance against the Oregon Ducks, Eason’s stock moved up. Despite losing to a team lead by a future top-10 draft pick, Justin Herbert, Eason made an impact.

Eason had just seven incomplete passes on the day, going 23-of-30 for 289 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. He read the defense and threw it to the open man consistently, hitting 10 different targets on the day.

Eason has improved tremendously since his freshman days as the starter at Georgia. The inconsistencies that plagued him are no longer an issue. Most 2020 NFL Draft big boards have Jacob Eason’s name floating in the top 32 prospects, including Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller.

He’s a 6-6, 227-pound quarterback with a big arm, confidence and solid mobility inside the pocket. When things break down, he’s poised and stands in tough to deliver passes. In some ways, he resembles current Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston.

Where Eason ultimately ends up being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft remains a mystery, especially in a rich quarterback class. With performances like the one against Oregon, though, he could solidify his status as a Day 2 pick.
