17. Oakland Raiders (15)

Early on in their Week 7 game, it seemed as though the Oakland Raiders were going to make it a game against the Green Bay Packers. They had a 10-7 lead in the second quarter and then after Green Bay went up 14-10, they answered with a 74-yard drive that nearly ended in a touchdown. Quarterback Derek Carr scrambled at the two-yard line and made a gamble when he dove for the end zone.

When doing so, he reached the ball out with his left hand and the ball fell out of his hand and went through the end zone. Originally called down at the one-yard line, the play was turned over and ended up being called a touchback. That swing in momentum was all the Packers needed in order to put Raiders away as they took complete control of the contest.

Not everything was bad for Oakland though as Carr looked sharp for the most part and they had another big game from Darren Waller, who caught his first touchdown as a Raider. His backup, rookie Foster Moreau, also got into the action by catching a touchdown. The real star on offense though is Josh Jacobs who continues to prove he’s the real deal.

3-3 isn’t ideal but the Raiders are much better this season than a year ago. And the players who are stepping up are all young, meaning they’re moving in the right direction.
