3. Denver Broncos

Trade assets: Chris Harris Jr., Emmanuel Sanders, Derek Wolfe

The one player I sincerely believe the Broncos will never trade is Von Miller. Miller won the Broncos a Super Bowl, as strange as that sounds. He was the heart of the team during that playoff run. The city and team are loyal to him in a unique way. The Arizona Cardinals have a similar feeling toward Larry Fitzgerald. Joe Thomas and the Cleveland Browns also had that kind of relationship. Miller isn’t going to be traded.

While Miller is safe, the Broncos should look to offload some of their other veterans. The team isn’t going anywhere. Even with Patrick Mahomes out for several weeks and Denver only a few games behind the Kansas City Chiefs, the season is over. With Joe Flacco at quarterback, the team was handcuffed from the start of the year.

The best player Denver will likely consider trading is Chris Harris. The Pro Bowl cornerback is on a one-year, $12.05 million deal. Considering that he’s 30 years old, it’s unlikely the Broncos will re-sign him after the year anyway. So, what’s the point of holding onto Harris for a few more weeks?

Emmanuel Sanders is also in the final year of his contract. Sanders signed a three-year, $33 million in 2016. Despite averaging 72.3 receiving yards per game last season, Sanders’ output has dropped this year with Flacco at the helm. The 32-year old would benefit from a change of scenery.

CBS Sports Insider, Jason La Canfora named defensive end Derek Wolfe as another potential trade asset in an article La Canfora wrote in early October. Wolfe is in the final year of a four-year, $36.7 million deal. Unlike Harris and Sanders, Wolfe has never been a Pro Bowler. He is a solid starter or rotational piece though.,
