Arizona Cardinals (3-3-1) at New Orleans Saints (6-1)

Sunday, October 27, 1PM ET

For some time, I seriously considered picking the Arizona Cardinals to win this one. They’ve own three in a row, and the young duo of Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury are finally hitting their stride. And then I remembered who they’re playing in Week 8: the New Orleans Saints.

Regardless of who’s under center, this Saints team clearly has the edge. Not only has their offense been on fire even with the mix of injuries, but their defense is ferocious. The Cardinals’ three wins have come against teams that have a combined record of 3-18 — the Saints have six wins on their own. Let’s just say Arizona is in for a rude awakening.

Especially in New Orleans, my money is on the Saints. They’ve got the far superior defense, a slight edge on offense (could be more if Drew Brees and/or Alvin Kamara plays) and more experience in the coaching department. You better believe Sean Payton will have a gameplan in place to slow down whatever Kingsbury throws at him.

The Saints are easily one of the best teams in the league right now. The Cardinals may be streaking, but the competition they’ve faced in recent weeks taints it a bit. Look for the home team to come out swinging early, taking the lead and never letting it go.

Prediction: Saints win 33-24
