7. Bears bench Trubisky

No one should be fooled by the 251 yards passing and two touchdowns from Mitch Trubisky during last weekend’s loss to the New Orleans Saints since most of those numbers came during garbage time in the fourth quarter when the game was already over.

For a team with high expectations after winning the NFC North last season, Trubisky is rightfully receiving a good amount of the blame for the Bears sitting at 3-3 heading into Sunday’s contest against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Since Chicago’s defense is already one of the best in the league, the progress made by Trubisky last season made it seem like the former first-round pick would be in for a big 2019 campaign.

The Bears still have plenty of time for their quarterback to turn things around, but also it’s difficult for fans not to be frustrated when taking into consideration the team selected Trubisky in 2017 over both Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes.

Even though the Chargers can relate to the Bears since they are struggling to live up to expectations as well, the Los Angeles defense could still end up with a field day going against Trubisky if his previous performance against the Saints is any indication of what to expect.
