4. Jones finds end zone three times

For a player that entered Week 7 with only one touchdown to his name, the Detroit Lions had every reason in the world to be thrilled over Marvin Jones finding the end zone four times last weekend against the Minnesota Vikings.

If only the Lions actually won the game, this monster outing by Jones would have been even more enjoyable, but at least there’s hope for the team’s Week 8 meeting with the New York Giants.

More than ever, Detroit could use a good win on Sunday to avoid digging a deeper hole in the NFC playoff race, and since New York has been struggling to win games as well as of late, this could be the perfect opportunity for the Lions to bounce back.

The best part about Jones emerging out of nowhere for a breakout performance last Sunday is the Lions wideout will hopefully find a way to carry this momentum over into this weekend’s meeting with the Giants.

Since New York’s defense has been far from impressive, Jones could be in line for multiple trips into the end zone for a second week in a row, and if this does happen, Detroit could finally put an end to their three-game losing streak.
