3. Patriots return two interceptions for touchdowns

Each week, the defense of the New England Patriots seems to find new ways to impress, and even though Monday’s win came against the New York Jets, it’s always great for a unit to record a shutout.

Even more impressive for the Patriots, this marked their second shutout of the season, and the team as a whole has only allowed 48 points all season.

Assuming all of their key players manage to stay healthy, New England’s defense could be the difference maker in the team earning another trip to the Super Bowl when the time comes.

But first, New England is focused on Sunday’s upcoming matchup against a team in desperate need of a win in the Cleveland Browns.

As great as the Patriots have looked at times on defense, there’s a good chance the Browns will be able to score a few touchdowns in this one since Baker Mayfield has all sorts of great weapons to work with on offense.

However, even if New England allows Cleveland to find the end zone a couple of times, this doesn’t mean their defense still won’t come through with a few big plays of their own.

Knowing Mayfield, the Patriots’ defense could be in line for a few trips into the end zone as a result of the former No. 1 pick turning the football over.
