With the Minnesota Vikings taking down the Washington Redskins in Week 8, here are three Vikings studs and duds from the victory.

The Minnesota Vikings were able to continue their winning ways in Week 8 of the 2019 NFL season on the national stage. The Vikings extended their winning streak nearing the midway point in the season and appear to be rolling on all cylinders following a victory over the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football in Minneapolis.

Minnesota was able to take down Washington, 19-9, on Thursday night at US Bank Stadium in a game that was somewhat of a surprisingly low-scoring affair on national television.

In the game, the Vikings were able to jump out to an early advantage and didn’t trail for the remainder of the contest against the Redskins. Minnesota got out to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter at home, while extending that lead to 13-6 going into halftime after tallying the game’s lone touchdown right before halftime in Minneapolis.

The Vikings ended up outscoring the Redskins 6-3 in the second half filled that was filled with field goals to come away with the 10-point victory at home to remain undefeated in front of their home crowd this season.

With the win, Minnesota improved to 6-2 overall on the year and extended its winning streak to an impressive four in a row heading into the ninth week of the regular season next weekend. The Vikings will hope for a Green Bay Packers loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in the remaining Week 8 slate of games to try and move into a tie with the Packers atop the NFC North division.

Minnesota, still sitting ahead of both the Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions in the division standings, will hit the road to take on the Chiefs in Week 9 next Sunday in Kansas City while looking to expand its winning streak to five in a row.

Following Minnesota’s win over Washington on Thursday night, let’s take a look back at three studs and duds for the Vikings from the contest.
