Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks made the playoffs last year and picked up right where they left off in 2019. In fact, they’ve been even better this season, which is largely due to the play of Russell Wilson. He was often slowed down and tripped up by the lackluster offensive line in Seattle in the 2018 campaign but has not been bothered by that to this point in the current season.

Wilson has been playing arguably the best football of his career in 2019, playing his first remotely poor game just last week. The Seahawks have started opening up their passing game more, putting more on the franchise star’s plate. He’s more than stepped up to the occasion, even with Doug Baldwin being forced to retire coming into the season.

The Seahawks offensive line flashed finally coming together last year but have reverted back to their ways of poor play this season. Duane Brown, who played well last season, now looks like his age has caught up to him. Germain Ifedi, on the other hand, has always been an issue and continues to play poorly and fails to protect his quarterback.

As it stands right now, the Seahawks are serious playoff contenders. The defense has looked better than many expected while Wilson and the offense have been playing at an extremely high level. However, a trade for Trent Williams to protect their MVP-candidate quarterback would solidify their bid for the postseason more than anything else.
