Before the Atlanta Falcons host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 8 on Sunday, here are a couple of bold predictions for the Falcons ahead of the game.

Nearing the midway point in the 2019 NFL regular season, things have gone from bad to worse for the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons got off to a rough start to the year in the first couple of weeks, only to have those struggles escalate even more coming into a tough game in Week 8 on Sunday afternoon.

Atlanta, which has won just one game so far this season, has lost five straight games coming into the Week 8 slate of games around the league. It will have to turn around and now face a stellar Seattle Seahawks team this weekend at home at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The Falcons have quickly gone from a team that could potentially make a run at the postseason before the year began to now being a team that could get a top five pick in the upcoming draft during the offseason.

Atlanta is coming off of a blowout loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7 of the regular season last weekend, falling to the Rams 37-10 in Atlanta to drop its fifth straight game coming into Week 8.

In the game, the Falcons were overmatched throughout a majority of the game against the Rams while falling behind early and not being able to catch back up for the remainder of the contest.

With the loss, Atlanta dropped to 1-6 overall on the year to push them to fourth place in the NFC South standings. The Falcons remain behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-4 overall), Carolina Panthers (4-2) and New Orleans Saints (6-1) atop the standings in what is becoming a tough division in the NFC.

The Falcons will be faced with yet another tough test in Week 8 when the Seahawks come to town, looking to snap their losing streak and grab a much-needed and long-awaited victory before their bye week in Week 9. Unfortunately, they have to do so without Matt Ryan.

Seattle enters the game coming off of a 30-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens that snapped its three-game winning streak it managed to carry into that matchup. The defeat pushed the Seahawks to an overall record of 5-2 on the year, sitting in second place behind the undefeated San Francisco 49ers (6-0) in the NFC West, while still up on the Rams (4-3) and Arizona Cardinals (3-3-1) in the division.

Before both teams square off on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta in Week 8 of the regular season, let’s dive into a couple of bold predictions that will take place for the Falcons in the contest at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
