Stud: Showing fight late in the game

After the Seahawks blew the doors wide open on the game at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the Falcons were able to keep their composure behind Schaub and ended up outscoring the Seahawks 20-3 in the second half to try and claw their way back into the game.

That late-game attempt fell short in the fourth quarter and Atlanta wasn’t ultimately able to knot things back up and catch up to Seattle, but the fight that it showed late in the game especially in the middle of a lengthy losing streak like it is currently one was at least one positive that you could pull out of this game. If you are into moral victories or positives to grab from a contest where a team fell for a sixth straight time.

Dud: Losing streak continues

With the loss, the Falcons move to 1-7 overall this season to remain at the bottom of both the NFC South division and NFC standings in general, while extending their losing streak to six games in a row going into Week 9.

Atlanta was already in trouble nearing the midway point in the regular season schedule with just one win, but it losing once again in Week 8 to Seattle certainly doesn’t help as the Falcons now move into their bye week this coming weekend while trying to regroup and bounce back in Week 10.

The Falcons might have to start making some more decisions and might need to look ahead to next year already as the midway point in the year is now among us and Atlanta sits near the bottom of the league with just one victory through eight games.
