87. . S. Carolina Panthers. Xavier McKinney. 21. player

Particularly considering the Cam Newton injury, the Carolina Panthers have been impressive this season. Where they could stand to improve, though, is with a top-end talent at safety as Eric Reid has struggled a bit at times and, more than that, could use help beside him if he sticks around. Xavier McKinney from Alabama could help that cause as a proven player against elite college competition that, though unspectacular, consistently does his job at a high level for the Tide.

. S. Dallas Cowboys. Hamsah Nasirildeen. 22. player. 123

It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys need an upgrade at safety and, though the top two prospects at the position are gone, Hamsah Nasirildeen from Florida State has emerged as a worthy first-round pick. With tremendous size, length and nice instincts all around, Nasirildeen would help Dallas take a young, talented defense and elevate them to another level by pairing with Xavier Woods on the back end.

Derrick Brown. 23. player. 36. . DT. Seattle Seahawks

Jarran Reed continues to look like a good egg for the Seattle Seahawks now that he’s returned from suspension. However, the depth at defensive tackle is concerning. The Seahawks start a run on the position here with Auburn’s Derrick Brown. An absolute monster of a human being, Brown has uncanny physical gifts for a man inside and would present the Seahawks with a matchup nightmare alongside Reed.

60. . DT. Minnesota Vikings. Javon Kinlaw. 24. player

For years under Mike Zimmer, the Minnesota Vikings defense has been their calling card. That has not been so much the case in 2019 as they’ve been good-not-great on that side of the ball. An upgrade on the interior defensive line could give the unit a boost, though, and Javon Kinlaw from South Carolina gives that. Kinlaw is a fantastic athlete that can be a game-wrecker in the trenches with his ability to dominate with explosiveness and strength.
