The Dallas Cowboys are 3-0 in the NFC East but don’t have it locked up yet. They could though, by making some of these trade deadline moves.

In 2018, the Dallas Cowboys won the NFC East for the second time in three seasons. They’re now in line to do so once again as they’re sitting at 4-3 with a record of 3-0 in their division — one win against all three divisional opponents.

They can make it 4-0 next week as they have a game against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football which comes after their Week 8 bye. Dallas will also have a new player making his debut with the team thanks to a trade they made with the New England Patriots.

Dallas lost Tyrone Crawford to a hip injury and found a replacement in Michael Bennett. Much like Crawford, Bennett is a versatile player capable of playing both defensive end and defensive tackle. There’s also an argument that could be made that he brings more value to the team than Crawford did, especially when it comes to rushing the quarterback from the interior of the line — and that’s no knock on Crawford because he’s a highly underrated player.

Instead, it’s a testament to the caliber of player they added for a mere seventh-round pick, which could turn into a sixth.

For Dallas, they could still look for more help ahead of the Tuesday, Oct 29 trade deadline. They have a couple of other holes to fill as they look to capture another NFC East title. Here we look at four trades they can make to guarantee they finish the 2019 campaign atop the standings in their division.
