Here’s a look at the NFL Power Rankings Week 9, highlighted by the San Francisco 49ers embarrassing the Carolina Panthers along with the Philadelphia Eagles shocking the Buffalo Bills.

As usual, the NFL Power Rankings for Week 9 have plenty for football fans to discuss, whether it was the Green Bay Packers knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs in front of their own fans or the Chicago Bears suffering another heartbreaking loss due to a missed field goal.

But when it comes to the biggest stories from the weekend, it’s difficult to top what took place for the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles when looking at the statement wins that were earned on Sunday.

When it comes to some of the biggest surprises so far in 2019, the 49ers still being undefeated certainly ranks near the top of the list, and San Francisco couldn’t wait for another opportunity to show how great this team is with the Carolina Panthers coming to town.

With Ron Rivera‘s team on the rise by winning four games in a row, all eyes were on the Panthers to see if they had what it takes to make a statement of their own by handing the 49ers their first loss of 2019.

Not only did Carolina come up way short in doing so, but the Panthers were absolutely embarrassed by the NFC West leaders 51-13.

Clearly, this loss is going to take Carolina a little bit of time to get over, and even though one loss doesn’t always seem like that big of a deal, no on expected them to look this bad against San Francisco.

Coincidentally, the Buffalo Bills found themselves in a similar situation after allowing the Philadelphia Eagles to go on the road, and put up a whopping 31 points against what has been considered a top defense in the league.

After the Eagles entered the contest looking awful in the previous two weeks against the Minnesota Vikings and Dallas Cowboys, these were the last results anyone expected to see take place.

Of course, these contests are just two examples from what turned out to be another exciting week of football action. So without wasting anymore time, let’s hop right in to another edition of the NFL Power Rankings heading into Week 9.
