12. Dallas Cowboys (11)

Just when it seemed like the Dallas Cowboys appeared to be the strong favorites in the NFC East, the Philadelphia Eagles found a way to come through with a statement win in Week 8 over the Buffalo Bills to show they shouldn’t be ruled out just yet.

But since the Cowboys have the advantage of winning the head-to-head matchup over their rivals, Dallas still deserves to be considered the favorites to finish on top of the division for a second year in a row, although that’s always easier said than done.

As great as it was to watch the Cowboys defeat the Eagles before their bye week, this team still has plenty to prove over the next two months since it should also be noted that before the Week 7 win, the team had lost three games in a row.

Talent wise, Dallas is in great position to continue being a serious threat across the NFC thanks to the dynamic duo of Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott leading the way on the offensive side of the football.

After enjoying an extra week off, the Cowboys will continue for their second meeting of the season against the New York Giants for what should be an entertaining Monday Night Football matchup.

Dallas may have won the first battle, but their defense didn’t get to face Daniel Jones since Eli Manning was still the top option for the Giants at the time under center.
