28. New York Giants (28)

The good news for the New York Giants is despite coming up short in Week 8 against the Detroit Lions on the road, this will be another one of those performances for rookie Daniel Jones to build from.

After the Giants dug themselves in a deep hole following the first quarter, the Duke product found a way to help his team fight back against the Lions by finishing with 322 yards to go along with four touchdown passes.

Some will make the case these numbers seem meaningless since New York still finished on the losing end, but from the perspective of Jones building up his confidence, this was big for the Giants.

Since Jones watched his career in the NFL start off on a hot note with two wins in a row, the Giants have now lost four games in a row, but at leas they will see another familiar face in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite the Cowboys being viewed as the team to beat within the NFC East, if Jones can find a way to play like he did in the loss to the Lions, maybe the Giants will have a fighting chance after all Monday night.
