25. New York Jets (25)

Following an embarrassing loss at home to the New England Patriots the week before, the New York Jets seemed like they would be in for another rough outing on Sunday when taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As expected, this turned out to be exactly the case after watching the Jets fall to the Jaguars 29-15 in a game that saw Sam Darnold finish with three interceptions.

Even though the USC product deserves some slack since recovering from mono is never an easy task, New York should feel somewhat frustrated over the fact that Darnold has already proven he can play at a high level.

Take a look at that game from a few weeks ago in which Darnold helped the Jets pull off an unexpected win over the Dallas Cowboys, and this shows why New York has the right to expect more from their beloved quarterback under center.

Until Darnold can figure out a way to consistently play on a high level, it’s going to be difficult for the Jets to take the necessary step forward in the AFC to compete with some of the better teams.

Luckily, Darnold will be in great position to finally earn that second win of 2019 with a matchup against the winless Miami Dolphins scheduled for Week 9, but even this is far from a guaranteed win for the Jets since rivalry games sometimes bring out the best in teams.
