2. Laviska Shenault Jr, WR, Colorado

Teams looking for a big-play receiver will love Colorado’s do-it-all wideout Laviska Shenault Jr. Shenault had a bit of a slow start after a stellar 2018 season which saw him average 125.1 yards from scrimmage 10.1 yards per play for a total of 1,126 yards. However, this past weekend, the dynamic playmaker reminded us of how dangerous he is. Against USC, Shenault put on a clinic, finishing the game with nine catches for 172 yards and a touchdown.

Shenault is a weapon who can play anywhere on the field. He can and has lined at every position on the Colorado offense. The 6-0, 220-pound receiver looks like a running back and plays like a speed receiver. He wins off the line of scrimmage with a quick first step and power. Once he beats a defensive back, consider him gone because he has a second gear.

When the ball is in the air, he shows great body control, hands, and balls skills. When he gets the ball in his hands, he’s the same type of player as guys like Golden Tate and Jarvis Landry. There’s a suddenness to his game and it shows in and out of breaks. He can also separate on underneath routes, making him ideal as an X or he can play in the slot.

Shenault is not a finished product but he’s big play waiting to happen and worthy of a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
