The NFL Notebook after Week 8 looks at the midseason awards, a dud NFL Trade Deadline, the bad news Bears and more.

How is it already midway through the NFL’s 100th season? It feels like just yesterday everyone was hyping up a Bears-Browns Super Bowl. Well, maybe not that much like yesterday for that matchup.

It was also an important week for the league because the NFL Trade Deadline came with trade winds swirling and left with nothing but a few scattered leaves. Still, we saw some player movement and I’ll nitpick every single deal that went down.

To be fair, we have seen some pretty big deals so far this season, so I’m not too disappointed about aimlessly refreshing Twitter every 10 seconds on Tuesday.

Also in a jam-packed NFL Notebook after Week 8:

  • The Dolphins’ “Tank for Tua” campaign might have hit a snag
  • “I find Denver’s lack of quarterbacks disturbing.”
  • The Bad News Bears
  • Why Bill Belichick is more than just great
  • Halloween-costume-themed awards
  • And finally, to celebrate a potential return of an NCAA Football video game (just kidding, but seriously though that would be awesome, even if it is way does the line), a new section dedicated to college football only!

Let’s dive into this week’s notebook with our first look at what all three trades this week actually entail…
