12. Beckham records first touchdown since Week 2
The first two months of the regular season have been filled with plenty of surprises, but the argument can be made near the top of the list deserves to be Odell Beckham Jr. only having one touchdown catch to his name entering November.
Back in the offseason when the Cleveland Browns acquired the star wideout from the New York Giants, the whole point of the move was to help the offense reach a whole new level in 2019 while helping Baker Mayfield develop as well.
Instead, the Browns look like the same disappointing team they’ve always been over the years with only two wins to their name heading into Sunday’s meeting against the Denver Broncos, who coincidentally have been a disappointment as well for the most part.
Over the years, Denver’s defense has been considered one of the top units in the NFL, and while this could easily put Cleveland at a major disadvantage on offense, some of Beckham’s best games have come against the best of teams.
Sooner or later, Beckham seems like he’s going to finally have one of those breakout games the Browns have been patiently waiting to see, and if all goes according to plan, it could even take place on Sunday to help put Cleveland earn a tough win on the road in Denver.
