6. Trubisky gets benched by Bears

Normally, teams don’t get mentioned twice in a row on a list like this, but since the Chicago Bears have a lot riding on Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, it only seems fair to discuss Mitch Trubisky more.

Last season, Trubisky took a major step in the right direction for the Bears by showing signs of being the quarterback the offense had patiently been waiting for all these years.

And while Trubisky still has plenty of time to show he can in fact be the answer, it’s been a rough first two months for the North Carolina product.

The fact that Trubisky has appeared in six games for Chicago this season, and only has five touchdown passes to show for it makes it easy to understand why so many fans are calling for him to hit the bench.

After watching the defense of the Eagles step up the way they did in Buffalo, Trubisky could be in for another rough outing to the point where Matt Nagy has no other choice but to bench his quarterback.

Maybe if this happens, Chicago will finally realize that Trubisky is far from the answer on offense for the Bears since he can only receive so many opportunities to prove himself worthy.
