1. 4-Game winning streak starts against Lions

The Oakland Raiders begin the biggest four-game stretch of the 2019 season at home on Sunday versus the Detroit Lions. Every team they face in November has a .500 or worse record and, with three of those four games at home, Oakland can stake a claim to a remarkable turnaround and set the table for a playoff run in December.

Give both Jon Gruden and Derek Carr credit; few, if any, gave the Raiders a shot at much in 2019. In a season many saw as a lame-duck kind of year in Oakland, the Silver and Black have delivered not just potential but results.

The Lions are a perfect set up game for a winning streak. A win doesn’t only move the Raiders to 4-4 but keeps them in second place in the AFC West, a division that Oakland can still make a lot of noise.

Detroit has had an interesting season against the West. They beat the Chargers at home and lost to the Chiefs, also at home, and their trip to Oakland is their only one to the Pacific Time Zone this season. For the record, the Raiders are 2-1 at home, as the Bears game was technically a “home” game. They win another as they return to Oakland in Week 9. Raiders 28, Lions 17.
