2. Peterson gets a pick off Jimmy G

Do I have faith in the Arizona defense to stop the San Francisco 49ers offense? No — Kyle Shanahan is again proving himself an offensive mastermind and he’s going to tear apart another bad defense on Thursday Night Football. However, Jimmy Garoppolo has sneakily been turnover prone this year, throwing seven interceptions on the year in as many games. Patrick Peterson will keep that rate up.

Put simply, I don’t have a ton of faith in the 49ers receivers, specifically whichever player Peterson is matched up with, can win that one-on-one battle. And Peterson has been good since returning from suspension, already grabbing one pick and forcing a fumble in just two games. He’ll get the best of Garoppolo at least once in Week 9, though that might be the only bright spot for the Cardinals defense all night.

1. Kittle tops 200 yards, 2 TDs

Fantasy football owners are well aware of the fact that the Arizona Cardinals are the worst defense in the NFL at defending opposing tight ends. That applies whether they’re playing a street free agent or one of the best players at the position. On Thursday night, they face one of the best in George Kittle and, though the Niners don’t typically throw too often, they’ll exploit the matchup and Kittle is going to go off.

As good and consistent as Kittle has been this season, he hasn’t gone out of his mind yet this season, largely a construct of the run-heavy 49ers offense. That changes in Week 9 as he doubles his season-high total of 103 yards in a game and doubles his season touchdown total against the Cards, torching them and helping San Francisco to a dominant victory.
