Tight Ends: C-

Unquestionably the worst position group on offense in 2019 has been tight end. Both Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis have been extremely lackluster in the passing game, though both have come on nicely over the last few weeks. Graham has produced just 234 yards and three touchdowns on 21 catches, while Lewis has tallied just 130 yards and no touchdowns on 10 receptions.

The most disappointing of the two has been Graham, who signed a lucrative three-year, $30 million contract in 2018 free agency. Graham’s cap hit in 2019 is $12.6 million (per Spotrac), which puts him as the highest-paid tight end in the league for this season. There’s no question that the value does not meet the production for Graham.

Meanwhile, promising second-year man Robert Tonyan has been sidelined for over a month with a hip injury. A former undrafted free agent last year, Tonyan stuck on the 53-man roster after impressing in the preseason the last two years. It remains to be seen what he really can provide for the Packers, but based on his potential and what he’s shown in limited action the ceiling is high.

Overall, the tight end position has been average to below-average depending on the week. For that, this group gets a C-.
