Scouting Report. Carolina Panthers. Kristian Fulton. 17. player. Pick Analysis. CB. 87

At 4-3 entering this week, the Carolina Panthers are still in the mix for the playoffs, something no one would have expected once they saw Cam Newton sidelined. They’re not the explosive offense they once were but they have the weapons needed to succeed and there will continue to be the Kyle Allen vs. Newton debate into the offseason.

What can’t be debated is the fact that their defense isn’t the same elite unit they once featured. They could add talent to just about any group but go with a solid corner here in LSU’s Kristian Fulton. He had a preseason first-round grade and for good reason.

His addition would give Carolina a player capable of going toe to toe with some of the bigger receivers in the NFL, and the NFC South has their share of those players.

Scouting Report. RB. player. 50. Pick Analysis. Detroit Lions. D'Andre Swift. 18

Kerryon Johnson was supposed to solve the Detroit Lions running game woes when he was added in 2018. So far in 2019, he’s had a bit of a drop off from his rookie season. He’s also been sidelined with a knee injury. He’s far from being done based on a few slow games and one injury, but the Lions still get an upgrade here in D’Andre Swift.

The Georgia running back is the best in this year’s class and is capable of carrying the offensive load by himself. Having an elite back will take a lot of pressure off Matt Stafford and the defense will improve simply by not being forced to return to the field as often thanks to Detroit’s offense being able to sustain long drives.
