Scouting Report. EDGE. Curtis Weaver. 27. player. 26. Pick Analysis. Baltimore Ravens

Even with all the players they lost during the last offseason, the Baltimore Ravens just keep winning, they’re just not doing so in the way we’re used to.

Za’Darius Smith, C.J. Mosley, and Terrell Suggs all joined new teams this year and the Ravens defense has seen the impact of their loss. They haven’t been as good as years past, but they’re more than making up for it on offense.

Lamar Jackson and his new running mate, Mark Ingram, are making life hard on opposing teams. They’re also better through the air, thanks in large part to tight end Mark Andrews.

In this mock, they try and get their defense back on track by selecting Curtis Weaver from Boise State. The big defensive end is able to get to the quarterback with ease, already racking up 9.5 sacks in his first seven games this season.

28. 60. Scouting Report. DT. Minnesota Vikings. Javon Kinlaw. player. Pick Analysis

Head coach Mike Zimmer was on the hot seat to start this season but has since turned things around. Quarterback Kirk Cousins is a huge reason for that turnaround as he’s been lights out for several weeks in a row.

Still, Zimmer is a defensive guy and his influence on the team plays a part in them drafting a big defensive tackle here. Javon Kinlaw doesn’t get the recognition he deserves playing for Will Muschamp’s South Carolina Gamecocks, but he’s been a cog in their defense that can alter a run game and has five sacks this season as well.

The Vikings have a stellar defensive front already and adding a player like this keeps them strong for several more years.
