Miami has three picks in this first round with this one coming courtesy of the move they made to trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers which sent Minkah Fitzpatrick packing. Here, they decide not to add a player to replace him but instead start to work on their offensive line — which is full of holes.
They could stand to add a tackle, or two, but instead, pick up Wisconsin’s Tyler Biadasz. He’s able to play any of the interior positions and at this point, the Dolphins just need anyone who can come in and be a solid starter right away. That’s exactly what they get here with this pick.
Scouting Report. S. Grant Delpit. Jacksonville Jaguars. 14. player. 52. Pick Analysis
Easily the best safety prospect in the 2020 class, Grant Delpit comes off the board here as the Jacksonville Jaguars look to rebuild their once-dominant defense. They haven’t been bad this season but there has been a bit of a drop off from what they were just a couple of seasons ago.
Delpit is a stud at LSU, capable of lining up at just about any position in the secondary. He has great coverage skills, shows excellent ball-hawking ability, and clearly isn’t afraid to hit the ball carrier. In addition to his skills, he’s a great leader that boosts those around him.
