Injuries may be making DFS players’ lives harder but these Week 9 DraftKings bargains can certainly help make the NFL slate easier to navigate.

Successful lineup construction on DraftKings and in DFS play requires owners to sensibly manage their salary caps. Identifying players at every position that offer the best bang for the buck is a beneficial strategy, and a requirement for consistent success.

Production and price don’t always go hand-in-hand, so we dip our hands into cooler waters and pan for the shiniest golden nuggets to feature in our weekly positional analysis. We start with a review of the players on the cusp at the quarterback, running back, and wide receiver positions.

Tom Brady (NE at BAL, $6,300) and Lamar Jackson (BAL vs. NE, $6,200) are relatively risky propositions this weekend, but both offer enough upside to warrant consideration. Julian Edelman is questionable (chest and shoulder), but as long as he suits up, Brady should find some success against a Baltimore Ravens secondary that has been porous at times this season. Jackson, who is unquestionably the most dynamic quarterback the New England Patriots have faced all season, will test the Patriots with his mobility and ability to create on the move.

Only two teams allowed more rushing yards last week than the Los Angeles Chargers last week, who coughed up over 160 yards on the ground as they narrowly edged the struggling Chicago Bears. DFS players should be licking their chops at the possibilities for Aaron Jones (GB at LAC, $7,000), who is on the cusp of our definition as a bargain as the tenth-ranked running back in terms of price entering the week.

Week 9 kicked off with Davante Adams (GB at LAC, $7,100) as the tenth most expensive wide receiver. Adams went airborne over one of his coaches on Friday, a good sign that he’s all set to suit up for the first time in a month:

Expect Adams to exploit a soft Chargers secondary that ranks 27th in the league in yards allowed per passing attempt. His quarterback, Aaron Rodgers (GB at LAC, $6,900) is one of the higher-priced options at the quarterback position, but should produce a solid return on the investment.

Now, let’s get into the best DraftKings bargains for Week 9, starting with the quarterbacks.
